Our studio uses only the genuine Gratz equipment, built to the specifications recommended by Joseph Pilates himself. Working with the equipment provides weight bearing resistance which builds muscle/bone density, strength and stamina much quicker than mat work alone.
Group classes are small and done in sequence with lots of hands on corrections. Working with spring tension is vital for anyone wanting to progress quickly or recovering from injury. Many of our clients have completely avoided surgery or recovered faster due to working on the apparatus. Doctors and Osteopaths regularly recommend Classical Pilates and/or Gyrotonic to their patients.
We ask that ALL clients start with an assessment session before attending any equipment classes. This is a full private lesson with an instructor who will record your strengths and weaknesses on our system for all teachers to use as a reference. The instructor will then suggest a personal program to suit you; If there's imbalance we might advise a few more privates or let you know which level of classes will challenge you appropriately. This assessment ensures everyone attends the correct class for their ability, and helps to set out personal goals. Group classes are a fun, affordable way to workout, but we insist that you start with a good foundation to maximise your work and avoid injury!

There is a strict 24 hour cancellation policy on all sessions and classes.
An assessment session is required before joining any equipment classes. This ensures that we keep the levels of the classes appropriately challenging for all attending, and can record your personal physical information on our system.
Group Equipment Classes (GEC) use any and/or all apparatus in the studio. Classes always include reformer, mat and tower and may then progress to barrels, spine correctors, wunda/electric chairs, etc...Because all bodies are different, we offer all possible solutions to your body's needs with our wide choice of equipment. This keeps you safely in tip top shape. Woman/Man does not live by reformer alone.
We offer
Refresher classes to deepen your basics
Intermediate for more experienced clients
Reformer with Jumpboard for a dynamic workout
Powerspring Classes are mat based with the added resistance of using the springs. This will enhance your progress by activating the correct muscle groups and relaxing the overused ones, also helping to alleviate joint pain. These are great classes for working on pelvic and upper body stability and general flexibility.
Please Note: 3 month expiry on all packages
Working on the mat challenges you to learn how to isolate and control your muscles without the support of a machine. For newcomers, it's a fun and easy way to dip your toe in the water with our Beginners Mat Classes. For intermediate and advanced students, mat classes are a dynamic way to supplement your equipment classes or other forms of exercise. We recommend two mat classes a week for best results. A great, economical way to learn classical Pilates.
For those who are Post Covid and/or are experiencing any lung or energy level issues, I highly recommend the Beginners and/or Breath Work Classes (Breath work only available on our Video On Demand site). Not only do we move the body in every direction, Classical Pilates uses breath in a way that opens the sides and back of the rib cage. This is where most of your lung capacity is located. This in turn stimulates the capillaries inside the lungs, opens the tissue and activates the lymphatic system - both healing, energising and immune boosting! Beginners classes focus on stability, flexibility and strengthening Core muscles.
The most important classes we run. In these classes, we set up your foundation work so that you can progress and challenge yourself safely. Don't be fooled by the name, this is still quite a workout! Pre Natal women after 12 weeks and Post Natal after their 6 week check are also able to join these classes. For them, we put emphasis on starting from the pelvic floor.

The Gyrotonic Expansion System® is a form of exercise that uses specially designed equipment to work on co-ordination, strength and flexibility with minimal effort.
The flow of the movement and the even resistance of the equipment removes any jarring action which can cause injury in other forms of exercise.
By using circular and spiralling movements as well as specific breathing patterns, it brings better blood flow to the spine and the internal organs giving you more energy throughout the day. If you experience chronic pain in your neck and shoulders, this class teaches you how to use your body without any tension.
Gyrotonic® is taught on the Gyrotonic® machine in a private session.
